Parish Pastoral Council
The purpose of the pastoral council is not to legislate, but to counsel and advise the pastor in the area of pastoral activities, to help the pastor identify pastoral needs in the parish, to assist him in planning pastoral programs and the improvement of pastoral services. The fundamental question always before the pastoral council then is: How can all members of this parish be brought closer to Christ? (Canon 536) The parish council is consultative and advisory to the pastor.
Parish Finance Council
The purpose of the Parish Finance Council is to advise the pastor in administering the ecclesiastical goods of the parish according to universal and particular law. Each parish is to have a finance council which is regulated by universal law, as well as by norms issued by the diocesan bishop: in this council the Christian faithful selected according to the same norms, aid the pastor in the administration of parish goods with due regard for the prescription of Canon 532 which states that the pastor represents the parish in all juridic affairs according to the norm of the law, and is responsible for administering the goods of the parish.
Religious Education
Our goal is to share our faith in Jesus Christ and his Church, to help the children personally know Jesus and to bring our students and their parents to a closer relationship with God.
Thank you to our catechists who give of their time and talent teaching our students about their Catholic faith.
Religious Education classes meet Sunday morning 8:30-9:45 am September (first Sunday after Labor Day) through April.
Our First Communion (2nd graders) is always the first Sunday in May, and the date of Confirmation (7th and 8th graders) varies every other year.
We invite all parents to register their children for our program, and a registration form is included on this website for your convenience. Registration is open for Pre-Schoolers (age 4) through High School.

Adult Education
Our Adult Education class meet on Sunday mornings from 8:30-9:45 am during our scheduled Religious Education class time. All are welcome to come and continue on our faith journey.
RCIA
The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults is a program for adults who are interested in joining the Catholic Church or would like to learn more about joining the Catholic Church. Classes begin in September and the participants are received into the Catholic Church at the Easter Vigil and receive the Sacraments of Initiation.

Youth Group
Our Youth Group is open to anyone from 6th grade thru High School. Using discussions, activities, prayer, and service, our youth are led to make connections between the Catholic faith and their daily life. Meetings will be posted in the bulletin and on our website.

Rosary Society
The Rosary Society is the longest running organization of St. Patrick’s. All women of the parish are welcome to join. The goal of the Society is to spiritually strengthen one another and the parish community. With the guidance of the Holy Spirit, they continue to achieve this goal through their functions and activities, along with works of charity and compassion, members serve the Lord Jesus Christ and honor our Blessed Mother. The members use their time, talents, and treasure to help take care of any needs at St. Patrick. To name a few they provide funeral dinners, clean the church, and make fruit baskets for our live alones at Christmas time.

Pro-Life
“Give thanks to God for the Gift of Human Life!” –Mother Teresa – Join St. Patrick’s Pro-Life Committee and our mission to protect and defend the most fundamental right of humankind, the right to life of every innocent human being from the beginning of life to natural death. The Pro-Life Committee attends and supports many events, including 40 days for Life, Life Defenders Camp, National Right-to-Life Rally, Allen County Right to Life Banquet, and the Allen County March for Life. Knights of Columbus
Becoming a Knight can transform your life. It you’re interested in helping others, serving our parish, or growing in your faith, then the Knights of Columbus is the organization for you. Charity is first principal of the Knights of Columbus. St. Patrick’s Knights of Columbus Council support each other in faith and in many other ways along life’s journey. Our Council meets on the third Thursday of each month at 7:00 pm in the old school hall.

Food Pantry
The St. Patrick Church Arcola Food Pantry open weekly to give out food items to those in the parish and community who are in need. For more information, please contact the church offices at (260)-625-4151.
Moms Group
The Moms Group is a group for mothers of school-aged children and younger seeking to grow closer in love with Christ and to connect with other moms in the same stage of life. Typically the moms group decides on a book or faith study to work through together, dividing the book into manageable sections for busy moms. The moms group also participates in works of mercy including sharing prayer intentions, sending notes and prayers to parishioners in need, visiting a local nursing home with our young children, hosting various events throughout the year, and providing meals when a new baby is born or someone is going through a difficult time.
